How can you improve your vocal range?


The vocal range can be improved by practicing technically, first you must know your original range in which you can easily sing, then try to include one note from the lower Octave and one from the high Octave and practice it daily. After a week you will find that you can somehow sing both the notes (one from the lower octave and one from the high octave) with ease,, keep on repeating the exercise  by including notes as mentioned above each month and you will see dramatic vocal range improvement in your  singing.


Why do singers shake and quiver their heads when they sing?

The singers who are fully involved in their performance, this becomes natural for them to shake and quiver their heads when they sing. Sometimes this also involves most of the audience and the entertainment enhances. In fact the performer has to show his involvement in the lyrics and melody.

How can someone sing a song in a foreign language and sound as if they know it fluently?

Yes there are many performers who are already singing very good in different languages, which is not their native language.  In my opinion singer can certainly sing a song in a foreign  language provided he pays careful attention to the pronunciation of the words used in the lyrics and practice repeatedly .  In fact audience enjoy more to listen to a singer who is singing in a different language than his own.


Why do I look so bad when I sing?

May be you do not  practice as much as you should be doing.  No voice is bad, it can be made softer and melodious with constant practice and breath control.  Everyone has his/her own vocal range, the songs that suit you range must be chosen for singing to get the better results.


Is music theory hard to learn?

If you have proper interest in learning music theory, then its not hard at all, all you need to do is to pay proper attention  to the basic lessons to gain proper knowledge.  Without music theory, a person can never be a good singer or performer, it is also required for the music composers so music theory becomes the need for all the people affiliated with music profession.
